if people that have not smoked or think smoking is cool in that nature pick up a e-cig habit; then they are doomed, as a pack of cigs or cheap cigars are by far cheaper. 40-80 bucks to get a basic kit is much more expensive then buying or having a pack of real cigs from your local store. this produce is for true smokers, and if some wana try the “fruity” styles then its by there own doing. If you view tv/internet/radio etc its a well known fact about the properties of nicotine. Great idea !

In reply to this old comment, I honestly don’t care if people choose to smoke but I do bother my mom about it quite often. I just don’t want her to keep wheezing and shit then die some painful cancer related death. If she used these, that’d be great!

I got my e-cig saturday. For the 1st 2 days what I withdrew from was the 100’s of chemicals the cigarette companies ADD to the cigarettes to increase their addictive qualities. Five days after using the ecig – I was able to go to the store and not take my e-cig NOR my regular tobacco cigarettes. Before my e-cig, my tobacco cigs were attached to me with an umbilical cord. Why? Not the nicotine addiction, but all the other poisons laced into the tobacco. My house smells clean, my lungs feel good.

Yes, I agree.

Yes nicotine is a very addicting drug, but it does not cause cancer; potatoes even have nicotine. I think saving lives especially for me personally my father, to quit smoking real cigs and use a safer alternative. True, people who wouldn’t smoke real cigarettes may smoke an e-cig, but the amount of damage done to the individual is dramatically reduced.

As for Prozac being addictive, I think you could still argue your case. It’s addictive in the sense that your body will go through withdrawal if you suddenly stop taking it. It can actually be pretty serious, which is why it’s very important for people to gradually stop taking any SSRI antidepressant.
You can look at it more closely if you want to search for something like “SSRI discontinuation syndrome”

Dont let every comment on the internet get to you like that. 2 facts to remember is: The internet is just you, versus every other person who can access the internet. The nicer person you are chances are you’ll meet some crazy person. Second point is that even the best of people become real jerks (or sound like jerks) over the internet. Use the net to facilitate intelligent exchange of thoughts and ideas. If you spent time defusing every goof ball that is crazy, you will lose. Take care.

That’s a most interesting argument… Thanks for sharing that.

What does ‘CBA’ stand for, and/or mean? What do you mean “What is he on about?”
December 28th, 2009 at 4:58 am
CBA to listen to this jerk for 9mins 40 seconds. What is he on about?

Who cares if it supposedly promotes smoking. Does drinking water “promote” drinking alcohol?
December 28th, 2009 at 5:52 am
the bottom line is people need to stop getting so involved in what other people do. if sombody wants 2 smoke who cares.

Its great to see someone else being so informed on these issues. I had the most difficult time explaining E-cigs to my friend. But after listing some facts, the point became very obvious to him. Keep it up man, spread the word.
